REFUND AND WITHDRAWAL POLICY
1. Nature of the products
The products offered on the oldmap website are reproductions of old maps printed on demand, according to the specifications chosen by the customer (format, medium, finish). Each order results in a specific production, with no stock held.
2. No right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods “made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.”
As a result, print-on-demand reproductions cannot be returned or refunded in the event of a change of mind by the customer. This exclusion applies once production has begun following the order.
3. Cases eligible for refund or replacement
A refund or replacement may be granted only in the following cases:
a clear manufacturing defect,
a file or product error attributable to the seller,
damage to the product during transport.
In such cases, the customer must contact the seller within 7 days of receipt of the product.
4. Claims procedure
Any request must be submitted via the website’s contact form, specifying:
the order number,
a description of the issue encountered,
photographs allowing the defect or damage to be identified.
No claim can be processed without these elements.
5. Resolution methods
After reviewing the claim, the seller may propose, as appropriate:
reprinting of the product,
or a full or partial refund of the order.
The choice of solution rests with the seller, depending on the circumstances observed.
6. Exclusions
No refund or replacement will be granted for:
minor rendering differences related to printing (shade, contrast),
errors resulting from the customer’s incorrect assessment of format or medium,
damage resulting from improper handling or storage after delivery.
7. Refund
When a refund is granted, it is made using the same payment method used for the order, within a maximum of 14 days from validation of the request.
